An ejector head operates within a double-tube assembly. A parts list that stops at the cutting head leaves the fluid supply and chip return undefined.

Tubes form a pair with a defined relationship

Page 24 of botek’s ejector catalogue states that its illustrated Type 55 inner tube is 30 mm longer than the outer tube. This is a named product-family relationship, not a length allowance to apply to every ejector system.

The useful lesson for ordering is to preserve the pair’s drawing and length convention. A request giving only the drilling depth cannot identify the assembled projection, machine-side engagement and relative ends of both tubes. Keep these as separate dimensions in the offered configuration.

For an illustrative replacement, compare an existing tube pair with the proposed pair rather than ordering two items of the same nominal length. If one item is retained, its identity remains part of the compatibility question. The outside diameter alone does not document that relationship.

Identify the machine-side connection

The return path in the sketch needs a defined discharge interface. Preserve the connector designation and the actual rotation arrangement in the layout. A hose fitting or familiar toolholder name is not a complete description of the supply and exhaust functions.

Keep service responsibilities attached to the components: which items are supplied as a matched assembly, which are inspected on replacement, and which drawing controls the installed state? These questions prevent a quotation for a head from being mistaken for a complete tooling package.

Move from parts to the proposed job

Use the RFQ worksheet below to collect the assembly and component requirements. The head-selection article begins with the cutting task; CNC installation planning puts the tool train into the machine layout. Neither the circuit sketch nor the catalogue excerpt substitutes for the supplied assembly instructions.
