A changed discharge is an observation at the end of a path. It does not by itself locate a restriction at the head, connector or inner tube. Start a troubleshooting record with what was seen and when.
Put the symptom on the return path
Page 33 of botek’s process description identifies the inner-tube return and the importance of chip form for that return. The diagram below locates the relevant functions without supplying a blockage-clearing procedure.
Retain chips by their observed interval and collection point if such evidence is available. A mixed container collected across several operating changes cannot isolate the chip condition at the onset of a fault. A photograph likewise needs a location and time to become useful comparison evidence.
Separate simultaneous changes
Suppose an illustrative recovery involved a different head, a replacement tube pair and a changed fluid setting. That recovery belongs to the combined configuration. It cannot establish which of the three changes was necessary or quantify the effect of the head alone.
Preserve the before-and-after assembly, material condition, depth and observations. Distinguish the suspected mechanism from an authorized check’s actual finding. This keeps a useful investigation from becoming a circular explanation in which the replaced item is assumed faulty because it was replaced.
Recovered operation and accepted bore are different findings
Returning chips or a normal control indication is not the same record as delivered-bore inspection. Document the relevant size, geometry and texture requirements separately, including the measurement coverage and any remaining inaccessible region.
Use the incident worksheet below to organize that evidence. For fluid readings, continue to coolant investigation; for chip transport, read failure modes and observations. A machine-specific intervention remains governed by the installed tool and machine documentation, rather than an inferred procedure from this circuit sketch.
