A publication to follow

TU Dortmund’s ISF publication list identifies a 2026 paper by Brause, Michel, Schott, Rekowski, Herrmann and Biermann on adapting deep-hole tool design for miniature thin-film sensors. It lists Procedia CIRP volume 142, pages 642–647, and DOI 10.1016/j.procir.2026.05.322. University publication list.

What the record supports

Experimental findings rest on the paper itself, not on search summaries; no search summary is used to establish one. The source year is recorded without inventing an exact publication day.

The German VDI conference programme, page 3, lists a BTA monitoring session covering miniaturized thin-film sensors and signal transmission. This is related programme evidence, not confirmation of this paper’s results or that a particular presentation took place.

Questions for a future full-text review

Check sensor integration, signal transfer, calibration and tested operating conditions before drawing conclusions about production use. No accuracy, durability or commercial-readiness claim is made here.

See the in-process measurement guide for evaluation questions. No exact German version of the paper was identified. Editorial policy.

Separate a verified citation from an experimental conclusion

The university entry establishes a publication identity: authors, title, journal, volume, pages and DOI. That is enough to create a reading lead. It is not enough to report the sensor’s accuracy, survivability, signal bandwidth or performance during a defined cutting operation.

The present source review retains that limit. A related programme topic helps identify questions for the full text, but it cannot fill missing methods or results. No experimental conclusion has been added from a search snippet or inferred from the publication title.

The connection that a future review must examine

Our editorial question is how a tool-side observation reaches an interpretable process record. The sensor location, transfer path and final measured response are separate links. A future full-text review should identify which links were actually tested and which remained a design proposal.

The sensor-path diagram below is a general editorial evidence map from the site’s separate sensor review. It is not a reconstruction of the inaccessible 2026 paper. The expert-review invitation accepts a defined review contribution with its sources. Continue to the monitoring guide and programme analysis for context; neither is presented as validation of this paper’s results.
