What the organizer’s materials establish
The VDI organizer page and four-page programme specify March 18–19, 2026 in Vienna. The programme includes a BTA session on tool-side measurement, miniature thin-film sensors and signal transmission. These materials establish scheduled themes, not demonstrated results or an account of attendance.
The programme’s exact publication date is not established. Its source year is retained; the event dates are separately identified above. No equivalent English programme was verified.
A research agenda for application review
Our editorial assessment is to follow three questions when obtaining the underlying papers: where is the measurement made, how is the signal calibrated and transmitted, and what independent bore-quality result is compared with it? A programme heading does not answer these questions.
Request the original study before making claims about achieved detection accuracy, service life or production readiness. The sensor-tool bibliographic note remains a separate lead . This programme analysis does not remove that limitation.
For an application inquiry, use the monitoring evidence guide and incident record. No machine-control intervention is recommended from the programme alone.
Use the themes to find the underlying evidence
The programme joins tool-side sensing, signal transmission and application-oriented precision machining within one event. These subjects can be read as a research trail: a measurement location, a usable signal and a verified component response. The programme itself does not show that the complete trail was demonstrated.
When following a presentation title, identify the corresponding paper or project record. Record whether the available material is a bibliography, an abstract, a project announcement or readable methods and results. Those access levels support different kinds of reporting.
The sensor publication note linked below remains bibliographic coverage: the paper’s own text is not available. A scheduled session does not remove that limit. Likewise, the event dates establish the advertised meeting period; this site makes no claim about attendance, speaker delivery or an observed demonstration.
The evidence-path diagram below connects a tool-side observation to later interpretation and inspection. Use the technical-review invitation for a sourced expert contribution. The next readings pair the sensor lead with the monitoring guide, allowing readers to continue from an event theme to the practical questions that a complete original study would need to answer.
Revision note
October 8, 2026: revised the technical explanation and connected reading after source review. Original publication date and URL retained.
